Heatwaves, Million dollar tennis competitions and the start of school

Well today is the start back to school kura kaupapa for the whanau and it allows me some time to get back on to some serious blogging. What welcomes the new term are heat waves in Victori aacross the, Tasman and coming to NZ, a destiny for a new and better economy but hope with the Rugby World Cup in 2011.

For those welcoming the new education year, I'm looking at the bigger picture and trying to set up businesses now to welcome that Rugby World Cup (also spiritually to win the cup). I had the luck as well to meet Bronson from the New Zealand Kiwi's team yesterday at the Otahuhu Rugby league club, they were finally all here yesterday to meet for their world cup win some 4 months later my gosh. Benji marshall was the most popular of course, but they're up for a Halberg award awesome thats on Tuesday, for the team of the year and Kearney is up for a Coach of the year award man, he is cool. They have bragging rights for the next 4 years.

Also not forgetting my world cup mates the ladies kiwi's team. But here is new patai where did Melbournes lock Jerome Smith come from to earn the Player of the year status at the recognition dinner yesterday man that is so awesome. Ruben Wki has always been there 4 the league scene but man there are some way new guys in the squad and its like who are you?

Although another Kiwi Winston Peters won't be on the happier end today after Rodney Hide showed his face on Prime News last night with the fact that Peters returned his car 3 months after finishing his ministerial position. Hide hopes to find out if taxpayers money has been paying for his Black Ford Territory 4WD.

What about the $2 million eazy money that Serena Williams won. Man I'd have a go against her for $1million dollars. Serena blasted 12 winners in her final and did it in under 1 hour. Ezy Mill I reckon. She is so strong. She has a tonne of confidence to go with her, but I love the fact she thanked the lord in her winning speech and not afraid to talk about her Dad who has passed on and talk like he is watching her who knows if so but man in front of a world wide audience. She is still Queen of the Court and back at number for Serena.

but they've been in there for ages. On another Maori taake thats not that great is the taake about gangs. Maori Affairs Minister Pita Sharples says it time for Maori to come up with the answers to address gang related murders and crimes of violence, in support of his fellow Maori Party MP Te Ururoa Flavell.

The Louis Vuitton Pacific series is here in New Zealand woh where was the promotion for that one, or maybe I'm just hanging out in the wrong crowd ha? Britains Origin and Swiss alinghi hard out at each other. Alinghi got the go ahead of Oracle. Vas Vascotto is the captain of the Italian Luna Rossa, would love to be out on those yatchs... mean.

The Westpac Halberg awards are on this Tuesday on TV One so remember to watch that those are some awesome awards as well.

Welllington 7s bring it on although South Africa dominates the 7s scene at the moment. The NZ team has new youth is Julian Savea a young 18 year old. They have won 8 of the 9 series and I don't think they're world cup holders. But I have so gotta get to those Wellington 7s. Sharkey have made it to about three them so far oh well.
